近年來技術商品化議題持續受到關注,從發明到商品化的過程存在高度不確定性,過程中存在許多影響商品化時間之因素,其影響因素包含專利獨占性、技術領先時間、專利年齡、科學連結性以及先前專利的引證數等,但是大多數研究中卻忽略組織能力與商品化時間的關係。
國內政府單位在2005年推動「生物技術研發成果產業化推動輔導辦法」以及2007年生技新藥產業發展條例的通過的促使下,越來越多廠商積極投入在生技創新活動上,過去研究報告也顯示近年來生技廠商投入在研發活動之費用高達營業額的81%,卻也發現從創新活動中獲利卻不是廠商主要的獲利來源。
因此,本研究便擬以動態能力為主要理論基礎以建構影響生技專利商品化之研究架構。透過文獻回顧本研究提出動態能力中所包含的主要四大能力對生技專利商品化的研究假設,資料蒐集是採問卷發放給予生技產業中的廠商為對象,正式發放問卷有119份,經由回收得到有效問卷有28份,以SPSS 17.0軟體進行信度分析,之後以存活分析驗證本研究所提出的研究假設。
經由本研究驗證結果,組成動態能力的感應能力、學習能力、整合能力以及是否擁有互補性資產都會對專利商品化機率具有正向顯著影響,另外廠商是否位於科學園區亦會對專利商品化機率具有正向顯著影響。而本研究也證實對專利終止時間而言,在不同的時間中對專利終止影響的因素也不甚相同,在第四年影響專利終止的顯著影響因素為被引證數的多寡,而在第八年影響之因素為專利權人所擁有專利的專利家族大小。
