摘要

老人許多健康問題中，跌倒是一個常見的議題。根據行政院衛生署2000年的統計資料，臺灣65歲以上老人的死亡原因，事故傷害占第7位，而跌倒是事故傷害的第二大死因。老人跌倒常導致身體功能受損與日常生活活動能力喪失，因此了解老人跌倒危險因子，進而採取「預防」作為是刻不容緩的議題。本研究以行政院衛生署國民健康局2007年「台灣地區老人保健與生活問題長期追蹤調查」資料進行分析。本研究研究對象為1268位70歲(含)以上老人為樣本，分析台灣老人跌倒盛行率與性別、年齡與跌倒之相關性，並運用邏輯斯廻歸探討老人跌倒的相關危險因素。研究結果顯示台灣地區老人跌倒盛行率為29.2％；老人跌倒的相關危險因素，包含自覺健康狀況不好、日常活動功能不佳、工具性日常生活功能不佳、基本日常生活功能不佳、無運動習慣、罹患白內障、罹患骨質疏鬆症以及使用手杖等。為預防老人跌倒，政府應結合在地的社區資源，加強宣導老人預防跌倒的相關知識和資訊，給予適當的衛教，以減少跌倒發生機會，讓老人能擁有一個高品質且有尊嚴的晚年生活。

ABSTRACT

Falls are a common issue among many health problems for seniors. According to 2000 Statistics of Department of Health, Executive Yuan, accidental injuries ranked seven among the causes of death in the older people aged over 65 and falls are the second leading cause of death among them. Falls often lead to impaired physical function and loss of activities of daily living, so understanding risk factors for falls and then adopting prevention measures are an urgent issue. In this study, the long-term follow-up survey data of health care and life issues of the older people elderly engaged by Bureau of Health Promotion in 2007 was analyzed. The 1268 participants aged 70 years and over in this study were selected. The study aims to analyze the prevalence of falls and use logistic regression to explore the risk factors associated with falls among the elderly. The results show that the prevalence of falls among the elderly in Taiwan was 29.2%. The risk factors associated with falls among the elderly included poor perceived health status, decreasing in activities of daily living, instrumental activities of daily living and basic activities of daily living, poor functioning, no sports habits, cataracts, suffer from osteoporosis, and using walking sticks. For the falls prevention, the Government should use community resources to strengthen knowledge for the fall prevention and give appropriate health education to reduce falls incidence. The seniors can have a high quality of life.
