白居易是唐代詩歌史上負有盛名的偉大詩人。他的詩歌作品不僅量多且質美，在敘事詩蓬勃發展的唐代，白居易以寫實的詩風、圓熟的技巧在詩壇上獨樹一幟，別具美感。在白居易自行分類的詩作中，關心民生疾苦、力圖改善社會風氣的諷諭詩；抒發個人情志、排遣憂傷情懷的感傷詩，此二類詩作尤具敘事特色，是以本論文擬以美學的角度詮解白居易敘事詩，期能呈現白居易敘事詩美學的新風貌。
本論文分為五章撰寫。第一章「緒論」，說明本論文的研究動機與目的、研究概況與範圍、研究方法與步驟。第二章「白居易的生平際遇」，綜觀詩人的一生，探究其詩歌創作的緣由。第三章「白居易敘事詩的內容分析」，界定白居易敘事詩的研究範疇、探究白居易敘事詩的歷史淵源、闡述白居易敘事詩的風格特徵。第四章「白居易敘事詩的藝術美學」，採用中國近代美學家朱光潛的美學思想為研究方針，探討白居易敘事詩中形相直覺、心理距離、移情作用及內模仿所展現之藝術美。第五章「結論」，對前述各章的分析討論，在此進行系統、歸納的整理。
本論文以西方美學視野重新賞析中國傳統詩歌，期能另闢蹊徑，對詩歌美感的體悟有更深一層的認識。

Bai Juyi is a well-known great poet in the history of the poem in the Tang Dynasty.Epic boomed in the Tang Dynasty. Bai Juyi takes the course of its own on the poetry circles with the naturalistic poem climate,skillful skill,and has special feeling in his poetry.In the poetry that Bai Juyi classified by himself,his burlesque poetry care about people’s livelihood sufferings,and try hard to improve social climate.His mushy poetry express his feeling,and divert his loneliness.The two kind of his poetry have narrative characteristic.This thesis plan to annotate Bai Juyi’s epic,and expect to present Bai Juyi’s epic aesthetics.
This thesis is divided into five chapters. Chapter one——the introduction: state the research motive and purpose , research overview and range , research approach and step. Chapter two——Bai Juyi's fortune of life: take a broad view of the poet's life,and probe into his poetry. Chapter three——the content analysis of Bai Juyi's epic: define research category , probe into the historical origin,and formulize his style characteristic. Chapter four——artistic aesthetics of Bai Juyi's epic: adopt the aesthetics thought of Chu Kuang—Chien, in order to research the via sense-feeling,psychic distance,empathy,and inner imitation theories of Bai Juyi's epic. Chapter five——the conclusion:compress the above-mentioned four chapters.
This thesis enjoys China’s traditional poetry with the aesthetic vision of the west,and expects to realize poetry aesthetics much better.
