　　恆春斷層位於台灣最南端，呈北北西走向。本斷層位於恆春縱谷平原，由海口至馬鞍山，長約16公里，為一存疑性活動斷層。恆春斷層之活動性為何，為本研究探討重點。
恆春斷層在野外觀察上，缺乏實際的斷層露頭，因此無法實際瞭解恆春斷層特性。本研究將就2002、2004、2005年恆春半島地區精密水準測量成果、野外調查資料，探討恆春斷層可能位置，又恆春半島地區是否僅此一盲斷層存在亦會就精密水準測量所得數據加以探討。
從恆春西台地至佳樂水之測線精密水準測量成果顯示，跨恆春斷層北端每年約5㎜/yr的高程變化。且由恆春西台地至佳樂水測線及恆春至鵝鑾鼻主測線之2004年3月至2005年7月高程差變化圖其高程差曲線，可研判自G662點位西向約5公里處有一盲斷層存在，其由南端G635點位（南灣）延伸至北端G674點位（恆春鎮進誠橋）。

　The Hengchun Fault lies in the southernmost of Taiwan and presents the trend of NNW. This fault is located on Hengchun Canyon Plain, which is about 16-km-long from Hailou to Maan Mountain. It is a questionable active fault so this paper will focus on the activity of Hengchun Fault.
　The characteristics of Hengchun Fault couldn’t be found out because there is no real outcrop in the field. The possible position of Hengchun Fault will be probed on this paper through precise leveling observation results of years 2002, 2004 and 2005 and all field observing data. Besides that, examining if there are other blind faults existing in Hengchun will also be discussed in this paper.
　Through the precise leveling observation results of survey lines from Hengchun west tableland to Jialeshuei, approximate 5 mm per year on the elevation change is showed across on the north of Hengchun Fault. And a blind fault may be existing on the 5 kilometers west from point G662, extending from the south G635 to the north G674, through the study of elevation displacement change deviation chart which derived from the survey lines from Hengchun west tableland to Jialeshuei and major survey lines from Hengchun to Erluanbi during March, 2004 and July, 2005.
