近年來，社會企業與社會創業在全球蔚為風潮，形成了一場新的公民自覺與自發的運動，不但模糊了社會與企業的界限、轉化了非營利組織的思維，甚至改變了政府的公共政策，在國際上（尤其是英國、美國、南亞等國家）已被證明為一個可擴張與永續經營的商業模式，更提升了社會公益組織的財務自主性。
光原社會企業成立於二零零八年，是台灣第一家以社會企業為宗旨的公司。致力於原住民部落從事有機農業之教育與輔導工作，希望能夠透過更有系統的組織，讓有機部落的理想能夠實現，也對文化保存及生態保育維護盡一份心力。
本研究採用個案研究方法以「光原社會企業」做為個案研究對象，透過商業模式畫布，分別描繪出企業『優勢』、『問題』、『解決方案』之商業畫布，對個案企業之董事長進行深度訪談，以提供個案企業經營策略規劃之參考。
研究結果發現：
透過商業模式畫布，本研究描繪出光原社會企業『優勢』、『問題』、『解決方案』之商業模式畫布。期望透過本研究結果，協助光原社會企業釐清企業內、外部所面臨到問題，提出對企業內、外部解決方案，並透過深度訪談來瞭解解決方案之效力，其未來在企業發展策略上之參考依據。

In recent years , social enterprises and social entrepreneurs have been a growing phenomena in the world. The formation of a new consciousness and spontaneous movement of citizens have not only narrowed the boundaries between society and business, but also transformed the thinking of non-profit organizations and even changed the government's public policy at the international level ( especially in UK, USA , South Asia and other countries). This, not only gave rise to expandable and sustainable business models, but also enhanced the financial autonomy of the social welfare organizations.

“Aurora Social Enterprise” founded in 2008 is the first social enterprise in Taiwan for the welfare of the aboriginals. The company is dedicated to educate the tribes in organic agriculture and counseling. Through systematic organization, the company hopes to bring change in tribe’s economic system by promoting organic products, preserve their cultural heritage and contribute to the ecological conservation.

In this study, “Aurora Social Enterprise” is taken as a case study from the perspective of business model canvas. The study reveals business advantage, administrative problems and problem solving techniques in order to provide the enterprise an effective strategic planning for its business. It is achieved through extensive literature survey, case research and in-depth interviews.

The results found that:
The business model canvas effectively depicts the business advantage and problems facing the enterprise and proposes certain solutions for problems. This research could help the enterprise to clarify and address its internal as well as external issues and implement appropriate solutions. The findings of the in-depth interviews could enable the enterprise to understand the effectiveness of the adopted solutions and this could serve as a reference for future development strategy for its business.
