The present thesis manages to discuss the thoughts of Wilhelm Reich - a Marxist. Wilhelm Reich is the first person to synthesis the psychoanalysis and Marxism. He thinks traditional Marxism couldn't explain how the economical life impacts on or transforms into consciousness, and how consciousness respond to economic life. And the theory of psychoanalysis just could make it up for this part. Here's to articulate the synthesis of psychoanalysis and Marxism, and his contribution to Marxism. Reich points out that the patriarchally capitalized society, through sex repression, makes the consciousness compatable with the advantage of bourgeois planted into the character structure. And so it drives away the people's consciousness, which is made place for conservative, dependent, and critic-lacking authoritarian character. Accordingly, he found out that the rise of fascism is the products of people's authoritarian character in bourgeois society. As to the failure of Soviet Revolution, just because the pre-revolutionary survived ideology, could not be totally dismissed. He thinks, capitalized society tranfuses its ideology into character structure, mainly through family, school, and the rooms for everyday life, so the consciousness of hierachy of bourgeois is gradually undermined. We can put it that way, Reich's theory to synthesis the Marxism and Freudianism, extend the theoritical category of Marxism on alienation, reinfore the disserting of Marxism on the relations between consciousness and economy. In addition, his introduction of psychoanalysis into Marxism ushers the new direction on the left. As to Reich' s sex-pol movement, it makes an profound influence on social movement after the War II, especially on Woman's movement.
