近年來由於寬頻網路興起,串流媒體服務已經日漸受歡迎,因此要管理串流媒體服務亦是一個重要的議題,而服務品質(Quality of Service,簡稱QoS)的保證需要由使用者和服務提供者雙方來擬定協議,藉此使用者可透過服務品質看出服務的優劣作為使用服務參考,服務的提供者亦可透過服務品質來改善自己的服務。另外由於雙方都有協議的合約來規範自己的權利及責任,進而能夠更放心的使用以及提供服務。
本論文提出一個以服務等級協議 (Service Level Agreement,簡稱SLA) 為基礎的串流媒體服務管理系統,能夠針對使用者和串流媒體服務的提供者所簽訂的合約,透過代理人來做服務監測,並對違反合約時,發出適當的訊息。另外使用者可透過代理人來對服務做評估,並回傳評估意見給服務管理系統作統整,提供者可依據統整的評估意見來改善或增進自己提供的串流服務。
With the development of broadband network, streaming media services are popular in recent years. It is an important issue to manage streaming media services. To guarantee the Quality of Service (QoS), the agreement should be drawn up between service requestors and service providers. Service requestors can treat criterion of service decided by QoS as preference. Service providers also can improve their service through the QoS.
The thesis proposed a streaming media management system based on Service Level Agreement (SLA). It can monitor service by agents through the contract which negotiates between service requestor and the provider of streaming media service. It will handle some appropriate functionality while any action violates SLA. Service requestors can evaluate service by agent. Agents will return the evaluate results to the management system. Service providers can improve or enhance their services through evaluated comments.
