The purpose of this study was to explore meditation theory In order to fulfill this purpose, the researcher studied many articles on meditation and then went on to iterview with six meditators who had practiced meditation for more than ten years to understand what they have got from practicing meditation. The researcher recorded each interview and processed the information in a qualitative way. After analyzing the interview data, the researcher found: 1.Seven categories of effects resulting from meditation were reported by the six meditators, as follows: 2.Meditators unamiously said that practicing meditation makes them relax, get better body function, feel happy and rejuvinated, efficiently cope with diseases. 3.Meditators reported some mystical experiences that are hard to believe in. Some of them mentioned that by guiding patients bound to die to repeate the name of Amida-Buddha, they help the patients die without horror,terror,and struggle. 4.Meditators reported that they are less anxious to important events, and know how to control their tempor. 5.Meditators said their instincts function better, work more efficiently, judge and foresee things correctly. 6.Meditators said that their family or business function better. 7.Their attitudes changed. They are more compassionate ,and cares for others. 8.They has different comments on mystical experience. 9.The findings above can testify and illustrate other findings mentioned elsewhere. Suggestions were presented to counselors, and for further research.
