主角鄭少秋飾演丁蟹，貫穿全劇中的靈魂人物，所有事件皆因他而起，他揣摩主角特性非常狂妄自私，無理又帶點神經質，害人無數卻滿口仁義道德，永遠以自我思想為中心不顧他人想法，殺了人卻認為自己都沒錯是別人該死，這種人算是有理說不清，對牛談琴，鄭少秋在此劇呈現多變角色，從潦倒落魄被黑道及探長追殺躲匿台灣，當丁蟹返回香港之後好運不斷降臨，讓他投入股市賺了好幾倍，隨便買都賺錢，所謂從哪裡跌倒就從哪裡翻身，但這句用在丁蟹身上剛好相反，最終他也栽在股市裡得到報應。
本研究係對丁蟹人格做分析，了解其認知行為與人格特質，透過本研究目的所收集的相關資料印證丁蟹的認知異常及扭曲的特殊性格，其思慮欠缺統整，以不合乎邏輯、短視、錯誤和不健康人生價值感等偏誤行為，而成為反社會傾向。
根據分析結果，丁蟹的異常心理有可能成為人格障礙者，多種不符合社會期待的行為，其認知、情緒、人際關係和衝動控制而造成脫序行為的表現。當行為表現無法獲得正面肯定或支持，容易產生異於常人之行為，成為國家、社會、家庭的沉重負擔。

Adam Cheng played the leading character, Ting Hai whom the entire major plots of the show surrounded. Ting Hai is arrogant, selfish, irrational and neurotic. He talks about virtue and morality on one hand while harming and setting up people on the other. Ting is self-centered and indifferent to what others think. He does not blame himself when he kills people. Instead he says those people that he kills all deserve it. No one can talk any sense to this man. Ting Hai has gone through many different situations in the show, from fleeing to Taiwan after being chased by the mafia and detectives, to returning to Hong Kong and making a fortune in the stock market. The saying “stand up where you fall down” does not apply to Ting. Even though he has made a fortune in the stock market, at the end that is also where he lost it all.
This study analyzes the character of Ting Hai to understand his cognitive behavior and personalities. The related data compiled in this study has proved that Ting Hai has abnormal cognition and a unique, twisted personality. His illogical thinking process, shortsightedness and erroneous and unhealthy sense of values in life all have contributed to his anti-social personality.
Based on the analysis, Ting Hai’s abnormal psychological conditions may result in personality disorders, reflected by many of his actions that do not meet social expectations. His cognitive disorder, emotions, poor interpersonal relationships and impulse control give rise to his unorderly actions. If a person’s behavior is not recognized or supported in a positive way, he/she may have abnormal behavior and eventually become a heavy burden to the country, society and the family.
