女性大學生犯罪被害恐懼感之研究：整合模式之實證分析
摘要
犯罪被害恐懼感可能造成個人認同之轉變、重塑人們的生活方式，亦可能使人們採取更多逃避或預警行為，因而會降低個人生活當中自主與控制的感覺，並造成社會資源的長期耗損與浪費。而在大學校園中，犯罪被害恐懼感可能直接影響女性大學生參與社交活動、發展知能專才的機會與整體之成就表現。由於女性大學生之「犯罪被害恐懼感」是一種具有性別差異的現象，因此有必要加以獨立分析。
本研究以一犯罪被害恐懼感之整合模式來檢驗造成女性大學生犯罪被害恐懼感之相關因素。此模式從個人、心理、環境及社會文化等觀點出發，將犯罪被害恐懼感歸因於諸多因素的共同作用，並根據理論假設，建構適合詮釋本土情況之問卷，實際於民國八十七年十二月底至八十八年一月中向國立中正大學之女性大學生進行調查。本研究除欲明瞭女性大學生犯罪被害恐懼知覺現況之外，亦希望探知形成女性大學生被害恐懼感之相關因素，並根據結果提出可行之改善措施。
本研究發現，在校園環境安全認知上，女性大學生對校園環境安全之整體滿意度偏低，而對校園環境安全的認知與其「無形的恐懼感」具有顯著相關。在社會文化因素方面，女性大學生本身之性侵害迷思程度不高，並對其被害恐懼感具有顯著之負面效果。媒體的影響在此研究中並未被證實，但大多數受試者仍表現出對媒體犯罪新聞報導正確性之質疑，並普遍認為目前社會治安狀況不佳。在心理變項上，「犯罪空間」與「犯罪被害恐懼感」具有顯著之正相關性，是心理學成分中最值得注意的線索。
而在個人因素方面，「年級」、「學院」、「在校之居住型態」及「個人社交活動程度」均未證實與「犯罪被害恐懼感」之間具有顯著相關性，僅「家庭收入」、「父親之教育程度」與「母親之教育程度」三項與「犯罪被害恐懼感」間達到統計上之顯著水準。此外，「個人被害經驗」與「家人及好友之被害經驗」亦均與女性大學生之「犯罪被害恐懼感」達到顯著之正相關，亦即個人受害經驗愈多者、知悉親朋好友受害經驗愈多者，其恐懼感愈高。另外，個人受害經驗類型亦與其恐懼之偏差行為類型有關。
在依變項－－犯罪被害恐懼感方面，本研究發現，女性大學生之「無形的恐懼感」在整體上有凌駕「具體的恐懼感」的趨勢，顯見女性大學生普遍具有一種較為模糊之「概括性」之被害恐懼感受。而在具體恐懼感上較為突出的項目則多屬於性侵擾之各種偏差行為。
在整合模式當中，「個人被害經驗」、「母親之教育程度」、「性侵害迷思」及「犯罪空間」等變項在詮釋女性大學生之被害恐懼感上提供了有利之佐證，且本模式之整體解釋力R平方值為.162（16.2%），意味著此模式各變項對詮釋女性大學生之犯罪被害恐懼感以具有某種程度之效果。
女性大學生「犯罪被害恐懼感」之成因至為複雜，但本研究已刻畫出一個概括藍圖可為引鑑，因此，筆者大膽提出數點建議與具體可行之措施，期能在消彌女性大學生之被害恐懼感上有所助益。具體可行之方針包括了大學校園犯罪防治計劃的發展，強調環境設計的概念與教育、資訊系統的擴展。此外，學校應避免「以受害人為中心」之犯罪預防措施，取而代之的應為校園環境中社會的及組織環境的改善，以及預防及輔導網絡之建立。
在社會文化方面，閱聽人之自覺與媒體之自律同等重要，而警政司法單位在降低整體犯罪率上的努力，亦是減緩女性大學生被害恐懼感之保證，惟其影響是較為長遠而漸進的。
