己內醯胺（Caprolactam， CPL）不僅是台灣中石化主要產物，其產量也位居全球前五大，在東亞地區，更是最大生產國；但是，多數的CPL製程，在貝克曼重組過程會使用到硫酸及氨水分別作為催化與中和劑，因此反應後會產生大量附加價值低的硫酸銨副產物。
於是中石化便構想以離子液體取代反應溶劑，再以溶劑萃取己內醯胺。所以，本實驗分別用4-DodecylPhenol （4DP）、2-tert ButylPhenol（2-tBP）及Heptane 60wt%＋Heptanol　40wt%等三種皆具有氫氧基結構之溶劑，萃取溶於水及離子液體（Ionic Liquid，1-Methylimidazolium Hydrogen Sulfate，簡稱MImSO4或IL）中的己內醯胺，由實驗數據得到三種萃取劑對己內醯胺的相對萃取度，再計算萃取時所需的理論板數。
結果發現，具有分支狀、低碳數烷類取代基的酚類，如2-tert ButylPhenol，萃取效果較佳，在相同萃取條件下2-tBP萃取99.9%CPL僅需兩個理論板數。然而酚類對自然界汙染極大，因此仍須致力於尋找萃取效率佳的綠色溶劑。
