在可調速馬達驅動系統中,通常使用二極體整流器將交流市電轉換成直流電力。有許多二極體整流器發表於文獻,例如:單相二極體整流器,三相六脈波二極體整流器,和三相十二脈波二極體整流器。在這些二極體整流器架構中,三相十二脈波二極體整流器的優點為,簡單、可靠性高和低直流電壓漣波。然而,三相十二脈波二極體整流器的缺點為,會產生諧波電流和缺乏回生功能。因此,本研究提出用於三相十二脈波二極體整流器的輔助轉換器,去達成消除諧波電流和提供回生功能。

三相十二脈波二極體整流器系統包含隔離變壓器 Tr I (Δ-Δ-Y,圈數比為 1: 1: 0.577) 、整流器 I、整流器 II、和等效馬達負載RL。輔助轉換器和三相十二脈波二極體整流器在直流側利用二極體Df相接,在交流側利用隔離變壓器(Tr I 和 Tr II)相接。當馬達驅動器消耗能量時,輔助轉換器操作如同並聯式主動濾波器,消除三相十二脈波二極體整流器所產生的諧波電流。當馬達驅動器減速回生能量時,輔助轉換器操作如同主動前端轉換器,將回生能量送回交流電力系統。 本研究所提輔助轉換器有兩大功能,操作並聯式主動濾波器功能時,可消除三相十二脈波二極體整流器所產生的諧波電流,操作主動前端轉換器功能時,可將回生能量送回交流電力系統。因此本研究所提輔助轉換器用於三相十二脈波二極體整流器,和以往的技術相比,表現出優異的性能。

In adjustable speed motor drive systems, the diode rectifiers are utilized to converter the AC utility into DC bus voltage. A variety of diode rectifiers were presented in the previous study such as: single phase diode rectifiers, three phase 6-pulse diode rectifiers, and three phase 12-pulse diode rectifiers. Among various diode rectifier schemes, three phase 12-pulse diode rectifiers have advantages such as:
simplicity, high reliability, and low DC bus voltage ripple; however, they also result in some disadvantages including harmonic current and the lack of regeneration capability. Therefore, this study proposes an auxiliary converter (AXC) for 12-pulse diode rectifiers to mitigate the harmonic current and provide re-generation capability.

The 12-pulse diode rectifiers system consists of a Δ-Δ-Y (turns ratio: 1: 1: 0.577) isolation transformer (Tr I), rectifier I, rectifier II, and equivalent motor load (RL). The AXC and 12-pulse diode rectifiers are connected on the DC side through diode (Df) and AC side through isolation transformers (Tr I and Tr II). The AXC system operates as a shunt active filter to mitigate the harmonic current drawn by the 12-pulse diode rectifiers when the motor drive consumes powers. The AXC operates as an active front-end (AFE) converter to re-generate the braking energy from DC side back to the utility when the motor brakes.

The proposed auxiliary converter operates as a shunt active filter to mitigate the harmonic currents drawn by the 12-pulse diode rectifiers and operates as an active front-end converter to provide the re-generation capability for the 12-pulse diode rectifiers. Therefore, the proposed auxiliary converter for 12-pulse diode rectifiers exhibits high performances compared with conventional schemes.
