The True Jesus Church (TJC) was established originally in Peijing, China in 1917 D.C. Unlike other Christian Church, preached and supported by foreign missionary, The TJC was erected by Chinese, and developed locally and independently. The founders including Ling-Sheng Chang, Paul Wei, Banaba Chang etc., were bestowed Holy Spirit by God, and instituted the “corrected” religion doctrine from Bible. They evangelized the doctrines from Peijing and than all over the nation. In March 1926, the TJC missionaries, including Banaba Chang, Thomas Gou etc, led by Taiwanese, Cheng-Chung Huang, Dou-Yen Wu, Ching-Lung Wang etc., crossed the Taiwan Strait and preached the gospel in Taiwan. Within about three months, the missionaries baptized over one hundred local citizens, and established three churches at the middle and south area of Taiwan. Since that time, the gospel was spread all over the island. In 1937, the TJC evangelized the gospel to the Taiwan indigenous peoples, who lived mostly at the mountain area of middle and east Taiwan. Many churches were erected even under the pressure of Japan’s dominion. In 1947, the TJC was established overseas, including the following nations and areas, Singapore, Saba, Malaysia, Hang-Kang, Hawaii, Indonesia, Japan and Korea. Nowadays, TJC was spread all over the world. The doctrines of the TJC are different from those of other Christian church, such as Presbyterian Church that prevailed over Taiwan. The main faith of the TJC doctrines includes Holy Spirit, the sacraments of Water Baptism, Footwashing and Holy Communion, Sabbath Day and Unitarianism.
