According to Taiwan's folk beliefs, most people only think that tiger is a coordinated God or subordinate, however what is unknown that tiger, which was once the god of creation in western China, was also one of the four patron saints of Taoism, which had its important position in Taoism. However, because of the spread of folk beliefs and the decline of the worship of nature, the belief in the tiger has evolved into: It was just the subordinate God of the Grand Emperor who blesses the masses , the Altar Marshal, the Cheng Huang God and the Formal God of Merit. What was worse, it had deteriorated in some areas that most temples just placed Tiger God under the sacred tables of worship and became other gods’ subordinates, the belief in tigers can be said to be subordinate. As a result, people's worship and belief in tigers have gradually faded as time goes by. In Taiwan, people gradually divided their faith in tigers into two parts: One is the belief in Earth Tiger that belongs to subordinate Gods, and the other is the belief in Heaven Tiger. Thus, there are situations that regard tigers as the Lord God, and some temples humanizing them, such as the Fuhu Palace in Shidian and Yihu Hall in Taichung WaiPu and the Temple of the Ming Dynasty in Changhua. This opens a new chapter to improve the belief in tigers and the spiritual character of future generations.
