古斯塔夫．馬勒(Gustav Mahler,1860-1911)的音樂作品中只有兩種類型，交響曲和歌曲，其中第一號到第四號交響曲和聲樂作品《旅人之歌》(Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen)、《少年魔號》(Des Knaben Wunderhorn)和部分的《少年時期歌曲集》(Lieder und Gesänge aus Jugendzeit)都可以看到《少年魔號》歌曲的影子。
本論文分為三個部份，第一個部分由馬勒的生平開始著手。第二部份以文學發展的角度，從啟蒙運動、狂飆突進到浪漫主義，來了解《少年魔號》詩集對德國人民的重要性，與《少年魔號》詩集帶給馬勒的影響。第三部份，由歌曲集《少年魔號》中挑選兩首風格迥異的歌曲，從曲式、和聲、詩詞上的分析到歌曲的詮釋。

The major works of Gustav Mahler (1860-1911) include symphonies and lieders. Many of them utilized the materials from ‘Des Knaben Wunderhorn’, such as symphonies no.1 to no. 4, ‘Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen’, and Lieder und Gesänge aus Jugendzeit’. This thesis first reviewed some of Mahler’s related career, then discusses the importance of his ‘Des Knaben Wunderhorn’ to German, basically on the view point of their literature progression: Enlightenment, Storm and Stress, and Romanticism. Two pieces of different style of this work were chosen for structural, harmonic, and poetic expression analysis. Their interpretation and performance practice will be discussed.
