在布索尼的大量改編作品中，以改編巴哈的第二號小提琴組曲中的夏康舞曲最廣為人知；而在布所尼所改編的夏康舞曲版本中，除了使用相當多的鋼琴技巧外，也添加了許多對位、和聲的素材，運用鋼琴豐富的音響色彩，將整首曲子襯托出鋼琴雄偉的氣勢。本文以布索尼對於鋼琴的炫技手法做為主要論述的主題，並將布索尼所使用的改編手法與巴哈的原曲做比較，從中尋求布索尼對鋼琴技巧、聲響的了解，並進而影響個人的詮釋。
