有效的天然植物萃取物作為頭皮滋養調整露，可刺激頭皮毛囊之毛乳頭，進而促進毛髮生長。本研究旨在比較三種天然植物萃取物--- 側柏葉(Thuja orientalis)、何首烏(Polygonum multiflorum Thunb.)、掌狀海帶(Laminaria Digitata ) 之生髮功效。首先，小鼠 (C57BL/6JNarl) 已刮毛脊之背部會連續四週塗抹植物萃取物。再來，小鼠毛髮生長情形會以相機拍攝，並以螺旋測微器(Micrometer caliper) 量測毛髮長度。實驗結果顯示，濃度10%的植物萃取物之生髮速率由快到慢分別為 側柏葉 (T-10) > 掌狀海帶(S-10) > 何首烏 (P-10)。此外，毛髮生長速率隨著萃取物濃度增高而加快。以側柏葉系列為例，毛髮生長速率由快到慢分別為T-10 > T-1.0 > T-0.1。綜觀上述，濃度10%的側柏葉萃取物在本研究中具有較佳之生髮效果。

Adopting an effective natural plant extracts as the nourishing and adjusting dew of scalp can stimulate the hair papilla of hair follicle in scalp, and thus promote hair growth. This work aims to compare the hair growth efficiency of three natural plant extracts, including Thuja orientalis, Polygonum multiflorum Thunb., and Laminaria Digitata . First, the shaved backs of the mice (C57BL/6JNarl) were continuously smeared with plant extracts for four weeks. Then, the hair growth situations were recorded by camera, and the lengths of hairs were measured by Micrometer caliper. The experimental result shows the hair growth rate of 10%-concentration plant extracts from fast to slow was T. orientalis > L.Digitata > P. multiflorum, respectively. In addition, the hair growth rate increased with the concentration of the extracts. For example, in T. orientalis series, the hair growth rate from fast to slow was T-10 > T-1.0 > T-0.1, respectively. In summary, Thuja orientalis extracts with 10% concentration exhibited better hair growth efficiency in this study.
