男性一向被視為色情的主要消費者，人們往往常理所當然的認為，色情論壇是男性專屬的地方，若是我們將焦點置於女性使用者時，會發現什麼？
本研究將色情論壇視為網際網路色情資訊交換的中心點，選其為研究場域，對於女性網民在色情論壇的活動進行進一步的探索，藉此了解女性使用網路色情論壇種種特性，尋求本研究問題之答案。
本研究採質性研究方法，對於色情論壇之女性使用者進行訪談。從訪談中發現她們色情論壇主要因素為：抒發慾望、滿足好奇以及實現性癖好，她們認為使用網路色情論壇最主要的目的就跟男性一樣—慾望；關於接觸論壇管道方面，通常是從一般論壇使用中接觸到色情論壇，或者直接從搜尋引擎直接找色情資訊；關於女性使用者的色情論壇使用經驗，皆展現個人化的發展，且與「個人情慾經驗」、「資訊軟體操作經驗」、「參與網路社群經驗」發展相關；而她們的色情論壇使用特型為：她們透過色情論壇的使用滿足情慾需求、對於BBS論壇參與程度較高、取得色情材料上感受到資訊軟體阻礙、且透過虛擬社群的使用滿足情慾需求、在線上與線下的行為存在著某種程度的差異。
本研究發現女性透過虛擬空間的色情使用，色情論壇使用中展現了某種價值—實現了某種程度的情慾自主，虛擬世界對於她們情慾發展有重大且深刻的影響。

Conventionally, men are regarded as the major consumers of pornographic materials and major users in on-line pornography forums. In this study, the researcher intends to switch the focus to female users by investigating how females use the on-line pornography forums. Specifically, the researcher seeks to explore the behavior patterns as well as personalities of female users in on-line pornography forums.
The researcher interviews 10 female porn-forum users and finds out three main factors behind females’ use of on-line pornography forums: out of sexual desires; out of curiosity about sex; sex being one of their hobbies. The researcher also finds out that the female users generally gain access to the porn-forums with the help of research engines. In addition, the study shows that the female users’ experience in the pornography forums are pretty individualized. Overall, it’s found that the female users’ participation in the pornography forums is highly related to three factors: their personal sexual desires; their ability to use the software; their previous experiences in on-line virtual communities. Finally, it’s found that female users’ major behavior patterns in the pornography forums are: (A) they satisfy their sexual desires through participating in the pornography forum; (B) they are very active on BBS forums; (C) they often encounter technical problems when downloading pornographic materials from Internet; (D) the female users obtain certain degree of sex autonomy in virtual spaces.
