Nostalgia, as an expression of human emotions, is of great importance. Nostalgia can not only help people to get through difficult situations, but also give inspiration to solve problems sometimes. Since ancient times, there have been many works related to memory and nostalgia, not only in film and literature, but also in advertisements, which are advertised as "Anniversary of so and so". In recent years, there has been a trend of remaking old animation in Japan. It is easy to see how important nostalgia is to human beings. Nostalgia can make people expand their feelings, and night, after Edison invented the light bulb, has expanded human life from daytime to night. The night is unclear and dark, so people have a lot of imagination about it. Many unknown and frightening things usually belong to the night, but at the same time, perhaps the power of nostalgia can become a warm presence on the long road of night.
“Night Tour" is produced mainly by 2D hand-painted animation, supplemented by 3D scenes, in which Clip Studio Paint is used to paint the 2D hand-painted animation and Blender is used to produce the 3D scenes. In this paper, we also discuss the expression of nostalgia and related works, the meaning and presentation of night and light in film and television works, and the contemporary Taiwanese 2D hand-painted animation with Taiwanese style, and apply the above research to the production of “Night Tour".
