《西南方的天空》故事來自於我雲林家族的過往生活經歷的改編。日治時期，外祖母在北港朝天宮附近經營雜貨店，傳承三代至小舅接手，並轉型改賣冷飲與檳榔，每到節日參拜時節檳榔店生意都非常的好，甚至還可以做到連續一週24小時不打烊。小舅個性樸實，喜歡重型機車和搖滾風格的飾品，有時還會騎著重型機車替客戶送檳榔，日子過得平凡愜意。不過，在不久前外公身體狀況不佳，而檳榔店又是一棟老舊的透天厝，內部空間狹窄，房舍樓梯陡峭，外公無法在這裡和小舅同住。台灣即將邁入老年化社會，小舅家只是再平凡不過的庶民日常寫照，台灣社會已對未來的高齡化趨勢有了相對應的長照政策，但越偏離城市的鄉村，民眾對於長照中心的觀念差異越大，小舅不願意外公去住安養中心，但是我的岳母認為觀念必須與時俱進，在最後的折衷下，小舅將心愛的哈雷重機賣掉，將外公安置在檳榔店附近的透天厝內，由外籍看護照料日常起居，小舅也能隨時就近探望。2017年，我曾以小舅的形象創作一部15分鐘的短片《海口》，這部短片在之後兩年期間在海內外影展獲得不錯的成績，評審們給予的回饋大都是希望這部短片可以有更完整的故事呈現，也因此我將上述的家族生活現況做為改編故事，成為了《西南方的天空》主要的劇情架構。本創作論文除了會詳細說明《西南方的天空》完整創作過程外，更會表達我多年來對於影像創作的概念與做法，並仔細反覆驗證與檢討。換句話說，本創作論文除了是我的研究所學習總成外，更是我從業以來的心得與檢驗，也是對電影創作的自我審視總結。

本創作論文將分為七章，依序分別為：
第一章 緒論。創作緣由，剖析敘事發想至創作期當中的過程與心境。
第二章 文獻探討。本片主題與現實社會間的關係，以及類似作品的驗證。
第三章 創作說明。劇本設計、視覺風格、作者世界觀的表達。
第四章 影片籌製。詳述劇本、籌資、前製作業、導演工作、攝影燈光、聲音、美術及演員造型等各個作業環節的執行過程。
第五章 影片後期製作。針對剪輯、調光及混音等後期製作執行過程說明。
第六章 問題與討論。對於創作過程的優缺點做深入檢討。
第七章 放映及映後探討。影片公開放映後，紀錄觀眾給予的回饋與導演的回應，檢討創作過程中的問題並做最後的總結。

The story of "Come back to hometown" comes from the adaptation of the past life experience of my Yunlin family.During the Japanese occupationperiod, my grandmother ran a grocery store near Chaotian Palace in Beigang, passed on three generations until my uncle took over, and transformed into selling cold drinks and betel nuts. My uncle had a simple personality, liked heavy motorcycles and rock-style accessories, and sometimes rode heavy motorcycles to deliver betel nuts to customers, and lived an ordinary life.
However, not long ago, my grandfather was in poor health, and the betel nut shop was an old house with a narrow interior and steep stairs, so my grandfather could not live with his uncle here.Taiwan is about to enter an aging society, the life of my uncle's family is just a general practice of society, Taiwan has a corresponding long-term care policy for the future aging social trend, my uncle did not want my grandfather to go to the nursing center, but my mother-in-law believed that the concept must keep pace with the times, and in the final compromise, my uncle could only sell the beloved Harley locomotive and place my grandfather in a bungalow not far away, where the foreigners could watch the daily living materials, and my uncle could also visit nearby.
In 2017, I created a 15-minute short film "Haikou" as an uncle, which achieved good results at domestic and overseas film festivals during the next two years, and most of the feedback from the judges was that they hoped that this short film could present a more complete story, so I used the above family life situation as an adaptation story and became the main plot structure of "Come back to hometown”.
In addition to detailing the complete creative process of "Come back to hometown", this essay will also express my concepts and practices of video creation over the years, and carefully and repeatedly verify and review. In other words, this creative thesis is not only my graduate school learning assembly, but also my experience and test since my career, and also a self-examination summary of film creation.

This creative paper will be divided into seven chapters, in order:

Chapter I: Introduction. The reason for creation, analyzing the process and mood between the narrative and the creation period.
Chapter II: Literature Discussion. The relationship between the theme of this film and the society and culture, as well as the verification of similar works.
Chapter III:Description of Creation. Script design, visual style, expression of the author's worldview.
Chapter IV:Film Preparation. Detailed script, fundraising, pre-production, directorial preparation, photography and lighting, The execution process of each part of the work such as sound, art and actor modeling.
Chapter V: Film Post-Production. Instructions for post-production execution procedures such as editing, dimming, and mixing.
Chapter VI:Issues and Discussions. Do an in-depth review of the pros and cons of the creative process.
Chapter VII:Screening and Post-screening Discussion. After the film is publicly screened, the feedback given by the audience and the return of the director are recorded Review, review the problems in the creative process and make a final summary.
