故事大綱
在喜馬拉雅山上大吉嶺米麗寺,有一位老師喇嘛欽列,帶著一群正開始探索生命的小喇嘛,如何成為弘揚佛法的傳人。在山上,喇嘛老師不只傳授經文、佛法與藏文、英文,也教小喇嘛什麼是愛與慈悲。從課堂上的學習,到生活中的修習與嬉戲,從波卡仁波切的開示,到喇嘛欽列與小喇嘛的傳承,以及藏傳佛教中的家庭生活,本片希望平實紀錄他們的生活與文化。
老師說「這麼多小喇嘛,只有少數人能成為弘揚佛法的大成就者,但希望每個小喇嘛都能成為有利他心及慈悲心的人。」

作紀錄片的感覺就像吃一個美好的果實,吃了還想再吃,像是吃石榴,有些石榴的外表不一定好看,但內在鮮豔多汁,但必須很有耐性,慢慢的剝,而且不能弄得滿手都是,這樣才能品嚐到它甜甜酸酸的美味與美感。

Outline of Story
On the temple Mi-Li, Dazilin, Himalayas, leads lama Chin-Lei a crowd of young lamas to explore the life and teaching them how to become an inheritor to promote and develop Buddha dharma. The lama tutor, on the mountain, is not only imparting sutra, Buddhistic doctrine, Tibetan, and English, but also teaching the younger lama what is the love and compassionateness. This film is barely looking forward to recording their life and culture substantially, from learning in class to studying and frolicking in daily living, and from Rinpoche Poka’s enlightenment to inheritance of lama Chin-Lei and young lamas, as well as narrating the family life in Tibetan Buddhism.
The tutor says, “With so many young lamas, only a few of them is able to become a great successor (Mahasambhava; Great completion) to develop and expand the Buddha dharma, nevertheless, hoping every young lama is capable of transforming into the one who has an altruistic and compassionate heart.
Creative Note
◎ The film editing shall be done in accordance with my own way and manner (2004/51; Cambridge)
◎ Facing the film editing, I have to convince considerably my intuition and inner aesthesia; do not rely on someone else, and trust yourself the inner guidance (2004/5/2)
◎ Attentions between teacher and child, mother and child, as well as child and child…children have to grow up under an environment of Love, so as to be healthy and happy, spilling only if his inner mind were full of compassionate and altruistic conception.
◎ The computer is crashed, luckily enough that initial editing tape has been outputted, and half files are gone though. It must be trimmed again, but already caused a devastating strike, driving me to distraction all day long; how much I want to go into exile…(2004/8/10) .

◎ Delivering the last edited film to Chen Shiao-Don, the length of original film was 73 minutes being taken into 64 minutes; my mental and physical exhausted when the final settlement confirmed (2004/11/6)
Oral Examination: Instructor’s Commentary
Professor Xie Zhang-Fu: 1). the issue exploration has a profound significance. 2). the descriptive mechanism is shallow, distinctive, and intense and, 3). the performing technique is simple and definite, but exhibiting an individually artistic intention and style.
Professor Chen Chin-Hur: 1). the creation attempts to have a persuasiveness, with an integral contemplation and tight structure, 2). It would be better if some elements could be added into the story narration, figures, and illustrations, letting audiences have a participant feeling, 3). the frame cutting in with a plane aesthetic, it could be preferable should a dynamic and stable aesthetic thinking be involved.
Professor Chiu Chi-Ming: 1). the frame data are substantially recorded, and the work perplexity is extremely high; it is authentically a bona fide and creative intention.
