This paper attempts to categorize the creative process behind artworks created during my enrollment in graduate school, and focuses its discussion on several key works created between 2012 and 2016. It will explain a series of events, and their relation to one another, that occurred during three exhibitions that took place in the early half of 2016. The exhibitions, “Certified Copy”(OCAC), “Not Open to the Public”, and “Certified Copy” (Nanhai Gallery), were organized by the art group, Working Hard, comprised of She Wen-Ying and myself, to question and examine the authenticity of a files. To say that this paper - an image file comprised of texts about artwork - you, the reader, is reading right now really exists can be misleading. What you really are seeing is a series of words printed on paper. It only exists because of the coming together of many files, thoughts, and writing. Through the perspective of extreme hysteria, imaginations are invoked when one perceives reality through texts and images. After one sees through the deception that it is not open to the public, one enters someone else’s back garden to hold a dialogue with a system. Finally, instances that match those of an authentic copy are seen as a medium. These instances are transformed into the souls of an irreversible past, a sense of loss that is associated with the act of opening a Meta-file.
