本文研究以西域音樂風格創作的三首箏樂作品—《木卡姆散序與舞曲》、《西域隨想》、《西部主題暢想曲》為研究對象，透過文獻資料蒐集與梳理，了解西域音樂風格與音樂組成的基本型態，並比對新疆維吾爾族音樂與三首箏樂作品相對應的素材內容。

本文研究木卡姆音樂特點，並針對三首古箏作品進行素材分析，探討作曲家在作品的定弦、樂曲結構、音樂素材應用等方面與木卡姆音樂的關聯性，從而對作品音樂風格有所理解，並從演奏者的角度對樂曲作分析與詮釋，檢視如何有效發揮古箏表現力，拓展古箏不同的演奏領域。

研究結果顯示，三首箏曲都將木卡姆的節奏特性、旋律發展的手法、拍號變化、音階、中立音、樂曲結構等特點融入作品當中，藉由分析三首箏曲，了解作曲家如何將木卡姆音樂活潑的韻律、點狀的節奏、線性的旋律置入作品，使其呈現濃厚的西域風情。

This research aims to analyze the three zheng pieces Muqam Overture and Dance, In
Spirit of Western, and Western Theme Fantasia, based on the musical style from the Western
Regions, to figure out the Western Regions musical style as well as the basic format of its
musical elements, and to identify the corresponding elements applied by the three pieces
from the Xinjiang Uighur music through comparison.

The research starts from analyzing features of Muqum music, probing into the musical
elements of the three pieces, and explores the connection between the composers’ musical
concept and Muqum music in the aspects of tuning, musical structure and elemental
applications to further comprehend the musical styles of these pieces. Besides, it also studies
and interprets the three pieces from the angle of a performer, and examining how the three
pieces efficiently exploit the expressiveness of zheng performance and expand the
performing field of zheng with different possibilities.

The research result reflects that the three pieces all fuse with the rhythmic features,
musical developing methods, meter variations, scales, neutral tone as well as musical
structures, and through the former analyses, it also clarifies how the composers present strong
Western Regions aroma by the applications of the vivacious rhythm and linear melodies of
Muaum music.
