負責任環境行為(environmentally responsible behavior, ERB)是指個人或團體為解決某一或某些環境問題所表現之行為,亦即個人或團體主動採行對環境有利的行為,以減低對自然環境的衝擊;舉凡節約能源、資源回收、消費有利環境的產品或服務等綠色消費皆屬之。知識─行為差距或價值─行動差距則係指消費者雖然很重視環保議題,然卻未能將對環境的關切付諸行動,購買並使用有益環境的產品。 據估計至少約有30%的消費者是屬於此類。鑒於負責任環境行為的重要性,本研究以Guagnano and his colleagues (1995)所提出的ABC模型為架構,分析影響綠色消費行為的因素;換言之,人們縱然擁有豐富的環保知識與支持環保的價值觀,然若缺乏外在因素的配合,綠色消費行為仍然不易產生;此一現象可以說是為「知易行難」提出了新的註解。本研究以大葉大學的學生為問卷發放對象;資料經蒐集整理後,作者進一步利用相關統計工具予以分析。研究結果顯示,本研究的相關假設皆獲得支持。研究結果對於實務界的意涵,及與對後續研究的啟示,亦於研究中進一步予以討論。
Environmentally responsible behavior (ERB) refers to behaviors that will reflect caring about and for the natural environment, often involving resource conservation or low carbon emissions. In other words, ERB can be defined as meaningful behaviors taken by an individual or a group of people so as to minimize the negative impact of human activities on the environment or to improve the environment. The ‘konwledge–behavior gap’ or ‘values–action gap’ is where consumers claim that they are seriously concerned about environmental issues but they are struggling to translate this into purchases. Green consumption, which is part of ERB, includes a wide range of actions, such as energy conservation, recycling and eco-conscious consumption of goods and services. Due to the importance of ERB, the aims of this research is to investigate factors that will affect green consumption, by using ABC model suggested by Guagnano and his colleagues (1995) as the conceptual framework to develop related hypotheses. A survey method is used to collect data from students of an university located in central part of Taiwan. After data has been collected, the authors further use relevant statistical tools to analyze the data, Research results indicate that all hypotheses of this study have been accepted. Implications of the research findings for the business and for the follow-up studies are also addressed.
