錄像藝術的發展與科技、傳播、生活型態的改變有著密不可分的關係，而時序進入數位時代後，錄像藝術隨著生活科技的演進也有了突破性的發展。無論是拍攝、後製處理、運用呈現，錄像藝術作品多元的表現形式，早已從單頻道的播映方式，轉變為結合展覽空間，甚至是結合數位電子設備，呈現極為寬泛及富魅力的展出形式，這樣的創作型態也在國際大展中蔚為風潮。
本創作研究採用質化研究取向，以資料蒐集、文獻探討與作品分析作為創作研究方法，針對日常生活與文化理論、藝術創作等多面向切入探討，同時對錄像藝術的發展、表現形式加以分析，作為〈Little by Little〉錄像裝置藝術創作之基礎架構。
〈Little by Little〉的創作觀念由日常生活出發，探討人與居所空間、生活狀態與日用品變化的關係，進而衍生出人之於空間的「存在」議題。創作實踐則將日常生活的片段性變化以錄像藝術手法呈現，再運用雙幕投影裝置進行錄像作品的同步播放，影像各自擁有獨立的時間與空間，透過雙幕的並置亦產生共同的時空關係。創作結果發現，瑣碎的日常生活，經由微觀的雙幕影像並置，兩者產生彼此流動呼應外，創作者可賦予全新的圖像意義與鏈結。

The development of video art is closely tied with technology, communication, and life style. In the era of digitalization, video art has followed technologies in life and making revolutionizing progression. From all aspects, such as the shooting, post-production, or presentation, the expressions of video art is multifaceted. From the early single channel display to the current integration into the exhibition space or even the incorporation with digital facilities, expansive and charismatic presentations are all possible. This creative genre has also become quite popular in international exhibitions.

The direction of this study is a qualitative one, and the creative method utilizes data collecting, documentation discussion and examination of the works, and furthermore, daily life, cultural theories, creative art are especially analyzed with in-depth inspections. At the same time, further analysis is also made regarding the development of video art and its ways of presentation. All of these elements come to form the fundamental structure of the video art installation titled, “Little by Little”.

The creative concept of “Little by Little” derives from everyday life. It deals with the changing relationships between people and dwelling space, and also living circumstances and daily amenities. An issue is brought forth about the people’s spatial “existence”. The execution is made by presenting fragmental changes of daily life through video art, and duo projection screens are utilized to display the video works simultaneously. The images, possessing their individual time and space, are shown through the duo screens and come to form and share a similar spatial relationship in the process. The outcome of the creative works shows that bits from the mundane daily life when juxtaposed on the duo screens, the two individual elements, besides interacting with each other, through the gesture of the artist, can also provide brand new connections and meanings for the images.
