人們廣泛利用人格特質來預測職業表現、學業成就或工作滿意等,此外也常有興趣了解每一種職業從事者的普遍人格剖面圖,可是卻不見心理助人工作者的人格探索,國內碩士班的入學甄選也不實施人格測驗,因此只有教科書上主張什麼樣的人適合從事心理助人工作,卻不見相關實證資料。五大人格因素模型(five factor model, FFM)為人格特質理論之一,也是人格心理病理具以診斷的理論。以此理論架構發展的大五人格量表(big five inventory-44, BFI-44)為學界廣泛使用的研究工具,也有題數更少的極簡五大人格量表中文版(ten items personality inventory-Chinese version, TIPI-CV)可降低受試者的作答不耐。此外,精神疾病診斷與統計手冊第五版提出新的人格疾患診斷模式,並修改了理論依據與介紹測量工具DSM-5成人人格量表(personality inventory for DSM-5, PID-5),國內已有DSM-5成人人格量表中文短版(personality inventory for DSM-5-brief-form-adult-Chinese version, PID-5-BF-ACV)。本研究的目的因此在建立大五人格量表中文版(big five inventory-44-Chinese version, BFI-44-CV),並運用這三個中文版工具建立我國有照心理工作者(臨床心理師、諮商心理師)與心理實習生的人格剖面圖,進一步分析在三個工具上的異同,以補研究之不足,同時驗證理論與實際的差距。本研究有效樣本117人,其中心理師63名(具國內諮商心理師證照50人、臨床心理師12人、藝術治療師證照2人),準心理師54名(正就讀國內心理碩士班學生)。在五大人格上,不論是BFI-44-CV抑或是TIPI-CV,心理師與準心理師皆呈現高嚴謹性、高親和性、高開放性之面貌;在PID-5-BF-ACV所測量的五大病理人格上,心理師與準心理師皆呈現負向情感低、疏離性低、敵對性低、不壓抑性低、精神病質低之風貌。上述兩結果皆與相關研究及社會大眾預期相仿。
Usually we can not only use the personality traits to predict career performance, academic achievement or job satisfaction, and so on, but are interested in exploring the general personality profile of each professional occupation. And yet, we haven’t seen it in psychologists and psychological interns so forth. Although some authors in textbooks would suggest what kind of people might be suitable for being a psychologist, however there is no personality test in admissions of the Master's program in psychology to select the “proper” psychological candidates, nor other practice. The five factor model (FFM) is one of the most popular theories of personality, and also is the theoretical basis of personality disorders in the American Psychiatric Association's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (4th ed. [DSM-IV]). The big five inventory-44 (BFI-44-AC) is developed from FFM and widely used in research, while the ten items of personality inventory (TIPI) is the shortest one for reducing the respondent's impatience. However, the DSM-5 advocates a new diagnostic model for personality disorders and introduces the measure, i.e., personality inventory for DSM-5-brief-form-adult (PID-5-BF-A). The purpose of this study is to establish the personality profile of psychologists and psychological interns with the big five inventory-44-Chinese version (BFI-44-CV), ten items personality inventory-Chinese version (TIPI-CV) and personality inventory for DSM-5-brief-form-adult-Chinese version (PID-5-BF-ACV) in Republic of China, and compare the pictures in three different measures. A total of 117 participants in counseling and clinical psychology were recruited. They consistently show similar profiles in three instruments with high conscientiousness, agreeableness, and openness in the BFI-44-CV and TIPI-CV, while low negative affectivity, detachment, disinhibition, antagonism, and psychoticism in PID-5-BF-ACV. The implications of the results are further discussed.
