羅倫（Ned Miller Rorem, 1923-2022）為美國當代作曲家，主要以藝術歌曲作品聞名。本研究聚焦在他的《給女高音的六首歌》（Six Songs for High Voice）。這部作品譜寫於 1953 年，採用白朗寧（Robert Browning, 1812-1899）、德萊頓（John Dryden, 1631-1700）、韋德伯恩三兄弟，包括詹姆斯．韋德伯恩（James Wedderburn, 1495-1533）、約翰．韋德伯恩（John Wedderburn, 1505-1556）、羅伯特．韋德伯恩（Robert Wedderburn, 1510-1557）之詩作。

本詮釋報告將探討作曲家如何透過音樂傳達詩文的意涵，分為四個段落：「壹」為前言，包括研究動機與目的、研究範圍與方法；「貳」為羅倫的生平簡介與歌曲創作風格；「參」為《給女高音的六首歌》的詩與樂曲的分析及詮釋；「肆」為結論，綜合上述研究之發現。
