There are many famous publishing located in north Taiwan. In Feng Deping’s book “18 Taiwanese Humanities Publishing and Environment”, which includes only three Kaohsiung publishers, it is different from the variable types of publishers in north Taiwan. The purpose of this study is to investigate the Management of Literary Publishing in Kaohsiung by literature reviews and interviews through, Li-Wen, Chun-Hui, He-pan, Da-Han-Lian, Ai-Zhi, Ye-Jiang-Hua, and Da-Hai-Yang publishing. This thesis uses semi-structured interviews, by interviewing the publisher founders in methodology, from the development process of traditional publishing and the challenge of digital transformation, to the expanding of cross-border cooperation and broadening the publishing strategic through the cultural innovation. In addition, it discusses the influence and transformation of the environment from then till now. The research has shown that there are three types of literary publishers in Kaohsiung: literati type: Chunhui and He-pan publishing, both of the press founders are dedicated to publishing historical books, making their best efforts to promote Taiwanese literature and striving to practice their ideals and concepts. Business type: Li-Wen and Ai-Zhi publishing, in the marketing process, they franchise copyright to overseas, establishing a stable foundation in Kaohsiung. ACGN type: Da-Han-Lian, Ye-Jiang-Hua, and Da-Hai-Yang publishing, it attracts abundant like-minded people from Kaohsiung to participate, strengthening the centripetal force. Besides, seven aspects are also discussed: literary practice, regional development, cultural literary tendency in southern, the close relationship between writers and Kaohsiung publishers, the impact of digitalization changes, cross-border cooperation, cultural innovation strategy and transformation. Each type of literary publishers in Kaohsiung mentioned above has its own characteristics which creates different operating modes.
