布拉姆斯的音樂總是給聽者一種摸不透的感覺，他的作品樂句的韻律有別於一般常用的強弱配置、樂句的劃分也不一定與拍號相同，還有他慣用的三對二節奏與不明確的調性轉換等種種原因都讓聽者對布拉姆斯的音樂產生一種難懂的感覺。

本篇書面報告以介紹布拉姆斯的生平以及時代背景為開頭，引導出其音樂風格與歷史地位，並以敘述故事的手法介紹作品創作背景；接著以本曲樂章的區隔分為四節作樂曲分析與演奏的詮釋，樂曲分析的部分以樂章分節再依曲式分段作小節數、調性與旋律銜接的整合；演奏詮釋則是融合指導教授意見與個人實際演奏心得以演奏技巧的克服與音樂風格的到位兩大方面為寫作的主題。

Brahms''s music always give the listener the feeling of one kind of unpredictable, his work is different from the commonly used phrase rhythm of the strength of configurations, phrases and beat division is not necessarily the same, let the listener creates a feeling of incomprehensible on Brahms''s music.

This report to introduce Brahms''s life and the op.40''s creation background , the beginning is to introduce his musical style and historical position; followed by movement to make music analysis and interpretation .
