This text is a discussion of the character of “Oscar” in “Un Ballo In Maschera” Giuseppe Verdi’s Opera and interpretations of two solo arias.
The content covers introductions on the composer, different aspects of “Un Ballo In Maschera”, analysis of the role of “Oscar”, individual analysis and linkage of the lyrics and music of arias namely: “Volta la terra fronte alle stelle” and “Saper vorreste di che si veste.” Interpretations and recommendations for vocal performance are also included.
