蕭頌（Ernest Chausson, 1855－1899）是才華橫溢卻英年早逝的法國作曲家，在法朗克（Cesar Franck, 1822-1890）芸芸門生當中，蕭頌創作旋律的天賦最為出眾，他有著直率、感情豐富的性格，優美旋律行雲流水般的自然流露在他所創作的藝術歌曲中，和舒伯特的藝術歌曲有異曲同工之妙。蕭頌的創作生涯雖然只有十五年，但作品尚算可觀，雖然他比較多被討論的作品是小提琴曲《詩曲》、聲樂曲《愛與海之詩》（Poéme de l’Amour et de la Mer, 1882-1890）和《降B大調交響曲》，皆屬較晚期的作品，而他早期的主要作品類型卻為藝術歌曲和室內樂曲。本篇論文要探討的《行板與快板曲》（Andante and Allegro pour clarinette et piano, 1881）是蕭頌早期室內樂作品之一，本文將把《行板與快板曲》單簧管作品分為三個章節來研究此曲，第一章為歷史背景部份，探討蕭頌的生平、探討當時的法國音樂對於蕭頌有何影響、創作風格、本作品創作之背景。第二章為樂曲分析，從曲式結構、和聲和轉調手法以及動機發展作詳細的介紹。第三章為演奏上的探討，以第二章的樂曲分析為基礎，討論實際演奏上的問題，包含音樂術語與速度處理、音量的對比、線條的張力與連貫性、節奏的精確性與運舌技巧及有聲資料的評論，期望這些探討能對演奏者在演奏這首作品時有所助益。

Ernest Chausson（1855-1899）is an outstanding French composer. But he died so early. Deeply impressed by Cesar Franck（1822-1890）, Chausson’s talent is to write the melody. His personality is forthright and passion. The similarity between his art song and Schubert’s art song is reveal the beautiful melody. Although his composition career just keep fifteen years, but his works are more. The earlier period works type is art song and chamber music. The more discussion works-“ Poem” for violine and orchestra, “Poeme de l’Amour et de la Mer” for voice, “ Symphony in B flat Major” is belong to the late period.
The thesis will focus on the earlier period work-Andante and Allegro pour clarinette et piano. The thesis contains three parts to look into this piece. The first part, historical background, examine the sociological, cultural and musical influences to form Chausson’s style. The second part is analysis, focus on its form, harmony. The last part, musical interpretation, is based on author’s opinion. It deals with musical terminology, dynamics, tempo, articulation. From this research, the author hopes to give the general audience new outlooks on this piece which further help readers to discover the true spirit of the musical piece and thus form a deeper appreciation.
