Calligraphy is a "Chinese character writing activity" that combines "symbol"," strength and rhyme" and "game." Symbol is the literary integration of the font itself with the written content. The strength is the expression of power. The rhyme is the aftertaste of strength. The evolution of the history of calligraphy by the seal character, official character, regular script, running script, and cursive script. With the historical changes, the calligraphy continues to promote forward and transform that forming different mental features. The new era is coming; the calligraphy seems to have been slowly losing touch with life today. Traditional calligraphy appears to have been unable to meet the contemporary "visual experience.” This essay is a formal element of calligraphic analysis based on the most primitive lines, spaces and shapes of calligraphies; and the style and characteristic show the calligraphy "rhythm beauty." First of all, through the literature to explore the beauty of Chinese characters formed by the creative factors of point, line and surface. Then with a variety of pen line movement, including the pen's setback, turning ups and downs, priorities, thickness changes, shades comparison, hidden changes and so on to compare the various traditional ancient calligraphy and modern art, and to explore the rhythm of calligraphy performance. In addition, through the chapter layout of calligraphy explain the calligraphy space echoes, such as size, radius, length, height and overall density changes. And in line with the rhythm of the expression of modern through the calligraphy analysis of the shape changeable, rich color levels, before and after the three-dimensional sense, the spatial overlap changes in density, mutual glyphs, and the size and weight of the change. The creative works by the traditional and regular calligraphy show the stable and safe attitude. For example, the regular script, Han and seal character are static visual works. The running script and cursive script show dynamic vision by lively rhythm; and create a different weight and space vision by a bold brush with a small font. The artistic conception of Yuichi Inoue, a Japanese calligrapher, collaborating with Wang dongling's Luanshu chaos-script calligraphy and Xu Bing’s Tianshu “Book From the Sky”, present a innovative series of visual fun variations. The variety of work performance, content into Taiwanese poetry, size and font size of a large gap and so on. Vividity is the life and spirit of calligraphy. The seal character, that is, Imposing manner and vitality. Rhyme, that is, rhythm and grace. The beauty of calligraphy shown by the ink line changes and structural arrangement, forming a rhythmic whole, so that its vivid charm move the viewers to excitement and joy. In short, to bring together the sense of comfort and harmony, there must be a contrast rhythm, rich changes in balance and unification. To make a great calligraphic piece of work, the artist must reach the artistic effect by showing the rich changes on the tip of brush pen to match the tune on paper. I look forward to the above research and analysis and hope they can bring the calligraphy art even closer to the modern thinking and living space.
