音樂錄像（Music Video Art）同時具有音樂與錄像之雙重意義，其豐富且多元的媒材特性，可成為藝術家表現的創作類型，亦可應用於流行音樂。因此，本創作研究探討音樂錄像的脈絡、音樂錄像於當代藝術中的影響，及其運用於新媒體藝術創作的表現形式。

本創作〈Floating〉表意為漂、漂浮的概念。筆者身兼音樂作曲、錄像編導雙重身份，以表達隨波逐流、漂浮於塵世間的概念，並透過音像創作傳達筆者對於海、水的情感，並幻想著長住於水中。深層的創作理念，則是探測在科技時代下數位傳播的管道，如何跨越無國界領域，進而產生音樂與視覺元素之認知關連。再者，本創作終極目標是由聲音／配樂與錄像／影像產生共鳴之後，藉此作品試圖提問：漂浮之物是具像且真實的身體？抽象而短暫的自我？還是一種無形的靈魂？個人期望未來運用於發展音樂錄像，以及創新之裝置媒材和呈現形式，作為未來音樂錄像創作之指標性參考。

Music Video Art is the integration of music and recorded images, utilizing diverse media properties to construct a manifestation of the artist’s creative styles as applied to popular music. This study aims to investigate the development of Music Video Art context, it’s impact on modern art, and how it utilizes new media art.
The work featured in this paper, “Floating”, is an ideographic, floating concept in which the artist plays both composer and director to portray the concept of floating between worlds. Using video art to express the artist’s feelings toward the ocean and water, it creates the fantasy of living under water. A deep creative concept, it explores communication outlets in the age of digital technology, crossing borderless worlds, and creating a cognitive connection between musical and visual elements. Furthermore, through the integration of sound, music, video, and images, this work poses the questions: Is the floating figure the creator’s own physical body, a temporal abstract self-portrait, or a sort of shapeless spirit? It is a personal hope that this project and it’s concept may be applied to the development of current and future Music Video Art, and serve as a reference piece for future Music Video Art production.
