舒伯特（Franz Peter Schubert, 1797-1828），為浪漫樂派經典代表作曲家之一。舒伯特因留有超過600首的德國歌曲，而被後人譽為「歌曲之王」，尤其對藝術歌曲的貢獻影響最為深遠。

1823年舒伯特根據詩人繆勒（Wilhelm müller, 1794-1828）的詩集，創作了第一部聯篇歌曲集《美麗的磨坊少女》（Die schöne Müllerin），1824年，再將第18首〈枯萎的花朵〉（Trockne Blumen）的主題改編為包含序奏、主題、以及七段變奏的長笛曲，獻給長笛家好友伯戈納（Ferdinand Bogner, 1786-1846）。

本論文共分為五個部分來探討，第一部分為研究動機與目的；第二部分了解舒伯特的生平、創作風格；第三部分為探討聯篇歌曲《美麗的磨坊少女》創作背景與詩人繆勒的生平；第四部分為長笛變奏曲〈枯萎的花朵〉之樂曲分析；第五部分則統整前面的資訊，整理並提供樂曲詮釋的建議，希冀讀者能透過此曲更了解舒伯特的風格特色，且能演奏出更貼近舒伯特的音樂意念。

Franz Peter Schubert is the last composer of the First Viennese School. Hailed as the King of Lied, Schubert’s contribution of more than 600 Lieder is considered significant and profound. In 1823, Schubert wrote his first song cycle, Die schöne Müllerin, based on Wilhelm Müller’s poems. A year later, in 1824, he transcribed the eighteenth song of the cycle, Trockne Blumen, into a flute work which included an introduction, theme, and seven variations. Schubert then dedicated the piece to one of his close friends, Ferdinand Bogner (1786-1846).

The discussions in this paper are divided into five parts. The first part states the intention and the purpose of the research; The second part is about Schubert’s life and his compositional style; The third part looks into the background of Die schöne Müllerin and the life of Müller; The fourth part is an analysis of Schubert’s flute transcription of “Trockne Blumen”; The fifth part summarizes and organizes the previous four points. Suggestions of interpretation are then given, as well as encouragement to use the analyzed work as a chance to familiarize ourselves with Schubert’s unique artistic voice.
