舒曼為浪漫時期重要作曲家之一，本文以其《升F小調鋼琴奏鳴曲》作為論述之重點。第一章簡述舒曼之生平，其不同曲種類的創作年代及背景；第二章講述有關於《升F小調第一號鋼琴奏鳴曲》之創作元素，第二章第一、二節包括創作背景與影響創作之因素以及其創作動機與手法，例如舒曼常用的作曲手法，克拉拉的影響與其旋律的擷取，第三節是樂曲特色，包括對於古典時期奏鳴曲形式的突破與舒曼慣用的節奏，加以歸類並附譜例說明；第三章為樂曲分析與演奏詮釋，依序第一節為第一樂章，第二節為第二樂章與第三樂
章，第三節為終樂章，透過細節之講述，包含主題分析、調性與結構之分析，為提供《升F小調第一號鋼琴奏鳴曲》所包含之內容與特色。
