卡薩多(Gaspar Cassadó, 1897-1966)在1926年創作大提琴無伴奏組曲，雖以組曲(suite)一字為標題，但內容卻與西班牙傳統舞蹈音樂息息相關。他的鋼琴家妻子智惠子曾說此曲是「充滿純真的西班牙加太隆尼亞民謠」 。
本文將從創作背景、曲名(Suite for Violoncello)、樂章標題和樂曲內容來探討此曲與巴赫六首大提琴無伴奏組曲(J. S. Bach: Six Suites for Violoncello solo)和西班牙傳統舞蹈音樂的關係。
此部作品受「九八年代」的影響，使用許多西班牙傳統舞曲的元素，如拍子、旋律、曲式等等；曲名與各樂章標題的運用以及作品結構與巴赫大提琴無伴奏組曲的結構相似，除前奏曲之外其他樂章均使用舞曲為標題。卡薩多巧妙地將前述巴赫作品中的形式和元素與西班牙傳統舞曲揉合（包括節奏、音階、伴奏樂器等），並大量運用大提琴的泛音、雙音、跨弦、撥奏等技巧，來表達西班牙舞蹈音樂的特色。

The well-known Suite per Violoncello composed by Gaspar Cassadó in 1926, though "suite" titled, is physically and closely related to the traditional Spanish dance music. His work was fully infiltrated with the pure Catalonia folk songs in Spain, said his wife, a pianist, Chieko Hara by name.
The relationship between the work, the Six Suites for Violoncello by J.S. Bach and the dance music hosted this paper through the contemporary background, the Suite per Violoncello, the title of movement, and the content.
Subject to the influence in “Generacion del 98”, the work carried lots of the elements of the dance music, like beat and music form. The work was also similar to the Six Suites in the use of the suite for violoncello and the title of movement; besides, the work registered for the structural assemblance to the Six Suites. Furthermore, the movements of the work, except for the prelude, were titled using “dance”.
Into the work, the music form and elements of the Six Suites delicately got Cassadó coupled with the dance music in terms of rhythm, scale, accompaniment instruments ; and the dance music also got featured abundantly through the techniques including harmonic , double stops, string crossing, and pizzicato, etc.
