This article records the creation process of the project [DAWU], and the work is presented as an experimental short film. I created a film about the state of separation. Tried to understand people's death and the emotions, then transformed it into this film through visual aesthetics and film shooting techniques I have learned.I hope it can not only express one's own views, but also communicate with viewers and the public.
Although [DA-WU] is an experimental short film and it’s an abstract issue about meaning and death, But the main key of the film is more about integrating the creator's state of Taiwan's patriarchy and social self-esteem into the film, and even building on the characters in the film. Among them, the director's imagination of the state, the stubbornness of the patriarchy and the inner feelings are the main points of the whole film. Black and white images, the dreams and illusory scenes convey the negative feeling of "It is what it is, nothing I can do about it."
Hope all the audiences can feel the rendering power of the film which conveyed on the issue .
