臺灣博碩士論文加值系統

在1898年美國藉由著「緬因號事件」並以緬因號被西班牙戰艦擊沉為由，對當時統治菲律賓的西班牙政權開戰，在當時渴望獨立的菲律賓人民看到美國打著民主的招牌吸收菲律賓軍隊聯手對抗西班牙，獨立軍首領亞奎納多率領旗下的軍隊與美軍聯盟，因此美菲聯軍與西班牙軍隊就爆發了在菲律賓史上重要的戰役-美西戰爭。在西班牙戰敗於美菲聯軍後，美國與西班牙秘密在法國簽署了「巴黎合約」，其目的是為了要西班牙割讓在大航海時期所佔領的菲律賓、關島、波多黎各…等，並將殖民主權轉讓給美國政府，在菲律賓不知情的情況下，美國放棄了之前遵守菲律賓自行獨立的條件，而以民主主義的包裝下實為帝國主義的政權統治了菲律賓群島。
本研究對於菲律賓的殖民城市感到相當大的興趣，在研究的過程中也須找出相關殖民地的頒佈法令以確保城市在發展上所有的構成關係，進而能夠更討論城市的演變關係。

In 1898, there was a war which is named "Spain-American War”. In the beginning of this war, US government based on the case of the USS Maine ACR-1 tragedy to fight against the Spainish settlement in Philippines, in order to replace the colonial society from the Spainish system due to the rise of the American Imperialism. Filipinos in that time were thirsty for Independence for ruling themselves, US military tried to gather the revolution army with the US army to fight against the Spanish system, In the same time US was claimed for "Democracy" and "Independence" and used it for recruiting revolution army in Philippines. In the end of the warfare, Spainish crown was casted out and defeated from the Inlands of Philippines ,and these two governments signed a document called“Treaty of Paris” that forced Spanish to sell their colonial territory including Philippine Islands, Guam, Pureto Rico..etc.
American adandoned the promise of Philippine Imdependence, but with the Imperialism within democracy begin their colonization in Philippine Islands.
This dissertation or research had interesting for colonial city in Philippines, however, while studying the colonial history, also need to search the relative colonial policies to ensure the relationship within the urban development, proceeed to the next step for discussion of evolution pattern in these colonial cities.
