十九世紀法國重要作曲家賈克·奧芬巴赫(Jacques Offenbach 1819-1880)的歌劇《霍夫曼的故事》(Les contes d’Hoffmann)題材選用德國浪漫主義小說家恩斯特·霍夫曼(E.T.A. Hoffman 1776-1822)三個失敗的戀愛故事，腳本由法國詩人保羅·朱爾·巴比埃(Paul Jules Barbier1825-1901)和阿根廷裔的法國自由主義詩人米歇爾·卡雷（Michel Carré1821-1872）共同撰寫而成。全劇共分為序幕、第一幕、第二幕、第三幕與尾幕五個部份，符合當時法國「大歌劇」(Grand Opéra) 五幕的結構。


本文所探究的三首女高音選曲分別由劇中三位女主角所演唱。第一幕﹤林中小鳥 ﹥(Les oiseaux dans la charmille)是機器娃娃奧林匹雅（Olympia）的詠唱調。第二幕< 船歌 >(Barcarolle)為交際花朱麗葉塔與尼克勞斯之二重唱。第三幕中的< 浪漫曲 >(Romance)為克里斯佩爾的女兒安東尼雅（Antonia）的詠唱調。

詮釋報告的內容包括 : 第一章緒論、第二章作家曲家賈克•奧芬巴赫生平與歌劇創作、第三章德國浪漫主義小說家霍夫曼生平與法語腳本作家巴比埃和卡雷簡介、第四章歌劇《霍夫曼的故事》之創作背景、劇情與劇中人物、第五章三首著名歌曲分析與演唱探討和最後一章結論。

In the 19th-century, Jacques Offenbach(1819-1880), the significant French composer, his opera "Les contes d'Hoffmann" used the theme of three failed love stories from the German romanticism novelist Ernst Hoffman (ETA Hoffman 1776-1822) that was written by the French poet Paul Jules Barbier (1825-1901) and the Argentinean French liberal poet Michel Carré (1821-1872). The whole play is divided into five parts: the prologue, Act I, Act II, Act III and the epilogue, which meets the five-act structure of the French "Grand Opéra" at that time.


This article will explore the three soprano selections that sung by the three heroines in the play. Act I " Les oiseaux dans la charmille " is from Olympia who is the aria of the robot doll, Act II "Barcarole" is a duet between the social butterfly Giulietta and Nicklaus, and "Romance" in Act III is an aria by Crispell's daughter Antonia.


The contents of the full text include: Chapter I -- Introduction, Chapter II--The Life of Writer Jacques Offenbach and the Creation of Opera, Chapter III--The Life of German Romantic Novelist Hoffman, and the Introduction of French Scenarist Scriptwriters Barbie and Carré, Chapter IV--The Creation Background and Story Plot of Opera and Characters in "Les Contes d`Hoffmann", and Chapter V-- Music Analysis and Singing Discussion of Three Famous Songs and the Conclusion of the Thesis.
