無論在中國大陸或者台灣，一般社會大眾對於談論性話題都有著一種恐懼，認為在非異性戀、非婚姻關係、甚至是非生殖之外的性，都是一種「骯髒」的性。因此，本研究將以被視為污名的BDSM群體為研究對象，以此探究三個問題：在社會大眾污名化BDSM的狀況下，BDSM愛好者是通過哪些方式建構BDSM自我認同？BDSM愛好者們逐漸形成或已經形成的BDSM自我認同是何種樣貌？探查BDSM愛好者所使用的被一般社會大眾忽視的性溝通方式與技巧。筆者希望以此來增加社會大眾對於BDSM的了解，削弱BDSM的污名。本研究通過深度訪談發現，在污名化的狀態下BDSM愛好者發現、認知、接納BDSM自我認同的過程，其實是一種接納自我內心深處情/慾的過程；BDSM自我認同呈現著多元、包容的樣貌；另一方，筆者發現BDSM之中對於性的坦誠與積極溝通是值得社會大眾借鑒的。

Whether in China Mainland or Taiwan, the general public has a fear of talking about sexual issues, and that non-heterosexual relationships, non-marital relationships, and even non-reproductive relationships are a kind of ‘dirty’ sex. Therefore, this study will focus on the BDSM group that is considered to be stigma, and the author want to explore three questions: The BDSMers how to construct self-identity of BDSM? What is the self-identity of BDSM? Exploring the sexual communication methods and techniques used by BDSMers that are ignored by the general public. The author hopes to increase the public's understanding of BDSM and weaken the stigma of BDSM. Through in-depth interviews the author discovered that the process of cognition and acceptance of BDSM’s self-identity is actually a process of accepting self-interested feelings/desires; BDSM self-identity presents a diverse and inclusive appearance; on the other hand, the author found that the honest and positive sexual communication in BDSM is worthy of reference by the general public.
