《第二號小提琴協奏曲》是巴爾托克成熟時期的作品，也是巴爾托克對當時代藝術音樂與傳統音樂的結合。在結構與形式上，這首作品以三樂章、獨奏小提琴與樂團協奏曲的形式創作。相較於該作曲家的其他作品，此曲較少被演奏或討論，筆者冀望透過提供此詮釋報告讓演奏者有所參考。
本文的研究方向將呈現在五個部分上：緒論、作曲家的生平、創作理念背景、樂曲形式結構與樂曲演奏詮釋。其中，本文將參考作曲家的傳記、歷史資料與書信論文來一窺此曲創作時巴爾托克的理念與生活景況；樂曲形式結構將以音高節奏素材、曲式結構分析與風格探討來對樂譜進行研究，樂曲演奏詮釋將以小提琴演奏的技術分析出發、比較不同知名演奏者的版本處理；最後分析此曲的音樂性與風格方向，整合為一篇完整的樂曲分析與詮釋計畫。

Béla Bartók (1881-1945, hereinafter referred to as Bartók), born in Kingdom of Hungary, whose works are mainly categorized as Musical Neoclassicism and Musical Nationalism, is one of the most influential ethnomusicologist and composer in Western Art music. The piece originally planned by Bartók to be a theme and variation, later became Violin Concerto No.2, embodies a synthesis of traditional and modern art music.
This thesis falls into five parts: introduction, biography, background of the piece, musical form analysis and interpretations comparison, concluded in author’s point of view to provide future performers a reference to perform this masterpiece.
