　　約瑟夫．霍洛維茲（Joseph Horovitz, 1926-2022）20世紀英國新古典主義作曲家與指揮家，於英國皇家音樂院（Royal College of Music）任教，創作了十六齣芭蕾舞劇、九首協奏曲、許多管弦樂作品及室內樂作品，當中包括四首單簧管作品，並在劇場、廣播與電視方面的配樂也有許多貢獻。
　　霍洛維茲的《為單簧管與鋼琴的小奏鳴曲》（Sonatina for Clarinet and Piano）創作於1981年，融合古典主義的樂曲架構與現代爵士音樂的風格，是霍洛維茲最著名的單簧管作品。
　　本論文主要分為四個部分，第一部分介紹小奏鳴曲、霍洛維茲的生平及作曲風格與此作品的創作背景；第二部分分析此曲的曲式架構；第三部分為樂曲詮釋，以曲式架構的基礎加上演奏家的角度探討此曲的演奏方式；第四部分為結論，總結前述的分析，希望能以此文讓大家更深入的認識這首曲目。

Joseph Horovitz (1926–2022) was a 20th-century British neo-classical composer and conductor who taught at the Royal College of Music. He composed sixteen ballets, nine concertos, and many orchestral and chamber works, including four clarinet pieces. Additionally, he also made substantial contributions to theater, radio, and television soundtracks.
Horovitz’s Sonatina for Clarinet and Piano, a piece composed in 1981 and recognized as his most famous clarinet work, blended classical music forms with modern jazz styles.
This study consists mainly of four sections. The first section outlines the Sonatina, Horovitz’s life and compositional style, and the background against which this work was created. The second section analyzes the musical structure of this piece. The third section describes the musical interpretation, discussing the performance of this piece from the perspective of the performer. The fourth section presents the conclusion of this study by summarizing the foregoing analysis and results. Through the discussion, this study facilitates a deeper understanding of this piece.
