筆者以一個擁有雙重國籍，在異鄉工作的角度分享筆者的創作觀與世界觀。 筆者的藝術創作以符號化的遊戲創作為主要結構。藝術的產生，並不是客體與主體的簡單融合，而是主客體在互相創造和互相受制過程中所產生的結構主義式表述。為此，筆者採遊戲化的繪畫表現來反應社會現實。筆者的創作動機起於《蒼蠅王》（Lord of Flies）裡的遊戲架構與符號，看似只是一群小孩的野蠻遊戲，但故事但故事其實是關於反對戰爭與關於人性探討的故事。

除此之外，創作還參考琳達諾克林《想像的東方》的理論，馬格利特的超現實主義構成方法及符號學理論的應用，這些理論與觀點提供筆者大量的創作動機。它們共同將「真實」拆解成等待增生、等待連結的「符號」，並把這些符號與奇觀影像進一步重組成比真實更真實的「超現實」影像。

The author of the Dissertation will share her perspective of her artworks from the perspective of a foreigner working in Shanghai with dual citizenship from Taiwan and US. Author’s artwork is based on the symbols and the gaming structure. Though the creation of the art is not limited on the combination of the subject and object, the interconnection of the subject and object shape the gaming structure and the content. As a result, the author adopted the gaming structure to reflect the reality of the society.
Author’s artwork motivation is closely associated with Lord of Flies’ innocence child game and symbols. The story seems to be a group of kids went to extreme in their child game, but the morel of the story is about war and humanity. The dissertation reference Linda Norchie’s Imaginary of Orient , Symbolism, and Artist Rene Margritte, and these perspectives support the author in art construction. Deconstructing the reality to something is waiting to be reproduced, to be reconnected to symbols, and to reconstruct to something more than real, “surreal”.
