拉弗．沃恩威廉斯（Ralph Vaughan Williams, 1872-1958）為男高音、中提琴，及鋼琴所寫的《四首讚美詩》（Four Hymns），歌詞分別取自傑里米．泰勒主教（Bishop Jeremy Taylor, 1613-1667）、以撒．華茲（Isaac Watts, 1674-1748）、理查．克拉肖（Richard Crashaw, 1613-1649）及羅伯特．布里奇斯（Robert Bridges, 1844-1930）等四位詩人。這部作品創作於1914年，首演於1920年5月26日。
本篇詮釋報告探討作曲家如何以音樂呈現原詩之情感及其傳達的宗教含義，共分為四個段落：「壹」為前言，包括研究主題與目的、研究範圍與方法；「貳」為《四首讚美詩》創作背景與概述；「參」先介紹詩人及分析詩文，再討論音樂結構與素材；「肆」為結論，綜合上述研究。

Ralph Vaughan Williams (1872-1958) composed Four Hymns for tenor, viola, and piano, with texts drawn from four poets: Bishop Jeremy Taylor (1613-1667), Isaac Watts (1674-1748), Richard Crashaw (1613-1649), and Robert Bridges (1844–1930). This work was composed in 1914 and premiered on May 26, 1920.

This report looks into how the composer uses music to express the emotional depth and religious meaning of the original poems. The report is divided into four sections:

Section I serves as introduction, outlining the research topic and objectives, as well as methodology of the study. Next, Background and Overview presents the historical context and a general introduction to Four Hymns. Section III is providing biographical information on the poets and analyzing their poems, followed by a discussion of the musical structure and material. Lastly, the Conclusion summarizes the result of the study.
