Fate/stay night is a Japanese game written by Kinoko Nasu and developed by Type-Moon in 2004.In this game, Japan's first female King Arthur, Artoria Pendragon was appeared. The story of King Arthur, passed down from the Middle Ages until now. Among the many adaptations, Fate/stay night attracted attention to the female King Arthur. This thesis used the adapted from the story of King Arthur in Fate/Zero to clarify what kind of new meaning is given to the story of King Arthur by the setting in the female King Arthur, Artoria Pendragon. The research method of this thesis was to compare Fate/Zero and Le Morte d'Arthur and referred to the Previous Study. Focused on the part of " Kingship" and "Prophecy" to analyze how the contradictions of female King Arthur are presented in Fate/Zero. As a result of research, the female King Arthur, Artoria Pendragon who appeared in Fate/Zero was not only accentuated the gender discrimination, but also teased the story of King Arthur with the theme of a tragic hero.
