恆春鎮一個位於屏東縣最南端的小鎮，從電影《海角七號》引起更大量觀光熱潮，片中主角離鄉背井到台北生活的寫照，觸發了我在工作了十年後，開始對於家鄉有的思念；希望透過返鄉務農的計畫讓自己與家人能回到屏東的家鄉；由於控制不住自己的衝動，辭去了多年的工作；離職後，開始自己追逐理想生活的計畫，上網報名農民學院的農業相關課程，到了台中新社種苗改良繁殖場去學習農業知識與技能，認識了許多的農業經營者；在跟這些同學交談的過程中，了解了自己對農業的理想在現實層面有很大的差距；在目前台灣的農產價格尚未符合生產效益的情況，冒然的舉債投資興建農業設施所產出的農產品，並無法帶來立即的利潤維持這樣的經營模式；社會價值觀裡農產品的價格還是屬於較低廉讓一般大眾能消費的範圍，但是這樣的低價市場，讓大部分的就業人口不願從事農業，也就是青壯年人口往都市遷徙，農村的勞動力平均年齡越來越高；雖然自身家庭因素，無法投入農業；但是看到許多的農友在這樣困難的條件下，依然為台灣的農業發展在努力，面對天災的打擊，農友們一次一次的重新耕種，只為了提供台灣人民有在地生產物美價廉的農產品；希望透過本身的影片製作專長，能拍攝製作相關的影片，讓更多的人，在條件許可下，投入現代化農業，用新的農業知識與設備，讓臺灣的農業發展能持續成長。
