本文主要詮釋筆者郭書愷碩士學位音樂會與畢業音樂會中的所有曲目，並由筆者進行樂曲介紹、分析及詮釋，曲目選擇為筆者自身喜愛的爵士樂風格，包括硬式咆勃(Hard bop)、中板搖擺(Medium Swing)、藍調(Blues)、放克(Funk)等，編曲多參考爵士樂中的錄音的最初或最廣為人知版本。筆者認為最初的版本能反映作曲家原始想表達的想法和創作的目的;而廣為人知的暢銷版本能了解當時流行文化中聽眾們所喜愛的音樂聲響。另一個曲目選擇的方向為筆者自認影響筆者演奏風格的音樂家，包括薩克斯風吉米.希斯(Jimmy Heath)、長號演奏家 傑・傑・強森(J.J. Johnson)與凱・溫定(Kai Winding)，這些音樂家都具有強烈的個人特質，與筆者自身演奏所追求的方向相符。其中也安排了兩首由筆者友人及筆者自身的創作的原創曲目，希望藉由此安排能夠讓筆者自身比較不同時代的作曲風格及樂曲希望表達的方向，也能探討不同的演奏方法。

This essay is a interpretation of all tunes in two recitals of Shu-Kai Kuo.There will have introduction, analysis and interpretation by the writer.The selection of the tunes basis on the writer's own likes. Music style include Hard Bop, Medium Swing, Blues, Funk. Reference of music arranging basis on the every first version of the record, or must famous version. Since the writer though that can reflect the original thinking of the song writer. And famous version can reflect the culture in that time. The other selection of the tunes basis on some musician that influenced the writer. Include saxophonist Jimmy Heath, trombonist J.J.Johnson and Kai Winding. These musicians have strong personal traits. That accord with the goal of the writer. And there are two songs composed by the writer and friend. Hope these can contrast the difference of music style in different times. And explore different way of music playing.
